About the role

The City of Sydney encourages design excellence and environmental sustainability as key elements of Sustainable Sydney 2030-2050 Sustaining the Vision. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated urban designer to join our team to ensure that design quality is seamlessly integrated into Council’s strategic planning framework and development assessment process.

We’re looking for someone with:

• tertiary qualifications in architecture or a related discipline
• extensive experience in urban design and the design of residential buildings
• well-developed ability to analyse complex and sensitive development issues
• ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with both peers and external applicants.

This role has the option of a rostered day off each month, known as a 19-day month.
