About the opportunity 

As the Industry Education and Outreach Manager, you will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of projects undertaken by this team, in close collaboration with subject matter experts across the various AUSTRAC offices.

A willingness to travel interstate occasionally to support activities to deliver education products, along with an ability to be adaptable and exercise initiative in a dynamic, high-tempo work environment with competing priorities.

The Industry Education and Outreach team’s primary role is to engage with AUSTRAC’s regulated businesses to promote their understanding of their AML/CTF obligations and their financial crime risks.

To facilitate this the team produce and create digital education content, such as e-Learning modules, videos, animations, and podcasts, across a variety of channels.

Key Duties

Under limited direction from the Director of Industry Education and Outreach:

  • Lead a multi-disciplinary team that supports reporting entities through a range of digital education products to understand their AML/CTF obligations and financial crime risks.
  • Coordinate, develop and deliver education products to groups of reporting entities and industry on a variety of AML/CTF topics.
  • Ensure digital products meet the needs of the audience and are able to be understood by a broad section of businesses that have obligations under the AML/CTF Act.
  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of assigned projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure collaboration and project success, including Facilitating communication to ensure alignment and to resolve conflicts.

Eligibility 

To be eligible for this role you:

  • Must be an Australian citizen at the time you apply.
  • Will need to undertake AUSTRAC’s pre-engagement checks.
  • Will need to obtain and maintain an ongoing Baseline Security Clearance
