About the opportunity
AUSTRAC are seeking detail-oriented and purpose driven Project Specialists to join the Transformation Division. In these roles, you’ll support the implementation of recent reforms to Australia’s anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing regime.
As a natural planner, you’ll facilitate the delivery and coordination of a range of impactful projects that strengthen AUSTRAC’s digital and strategic delivery capabilities, managing project documentation, finances, tracking progress against milestones, reporting to stakeholders and performing administrative tasks. You’ll get to work closely with multi-disciplinary teams, to make an impactful contribution to program governance and delivery oversight in line with AUSTRAC’s program management frameworks and practices.

What are we looking for
- Demonstrated experience in program project management office and in supporting program delivery within an enterprise setting (or equivalent project experience).
- Practical experience in using project management tools is desirable (e.g., M365, SharePoint, MS Project, Jira).

Dependent on the role, you may be expected to:
- Supporting strategic and operational projects, whilst ensuring project outcomes meet agreed scope, time and budget.
- Implementing work plans for the work area.
- Undertaking research and analysis, identifying trends and preparing project briefs.
- Contributing to the effective and efficient operation of program governance reporting.
- Engaging and liaising with stakeholders and agencies to facilitate planning of program delivery.
- Monitoring changes in work environment that may impact on work objectives, provide opportunity for continuous improvement.
- Applying an in-depth knowledge of project delivery, governance and assurance frameworks, and methodologies.

This recruitment process will initially be used to fill a current vacancy and in future, may be used to fill similar positions in the event positions become vacant. The merit pools established from this recruitment process will be valid for 18 months from the date of advertising.
