About the role

This is an Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander identified position. Aboriginality is a genuine occupational qualification authorised by Section 14(d) of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW).

Love the outdoors? Want to work in Sydney’s parks and gardens? As a Horticulture - Parks & Gardens Apprentice, you’ll train with expert gardeners while gaining a Certificate III in Horticulture - Parks & Gardens

What you’ll do:

  • Maintain public parks, gardens & green spaces
  • Learn plant and turf care and identification, soil management & pest control
  • Operate tools & machinery safely

What you’ll get

  • 4-year paid apprenticeship

This role has the option of a rostered day off every 2 weeks, known as a 9-day fortnight.

The recommended applicant must complete a pre-employment health declaration, medical assessment, criminal history check.
