About the opportunity
AUSTRAC is looking for an ICT Professional to perform the role of Linux Engineer.
We are seeking a Linux Engineer, to join our Technology Platforms and Solutions team.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the agency's ongoing transformation, as we enhance our role in combatting money laundering and Terrorism.

The key duties of the position include:
Support and maintain: the Linux server environment, ensuring its stability, security, and optimal performance.
Technical Issue Resolution: Collaborate with technical teams to identify and resolve escalated issues raised by stakeholders.
Backup Management: Maintain VMware, disk-to-disk, and tape backup environments.
Project Delivery: Contribute to improvement initiatives and delivering project work.
System Maintenance: Perform regular reviews and audits of the Linux environment.
Documentation: Ensure technical documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities to enhance the network environment.

This recruitment process will initially be used to fill a current vacancy and in future, may be used to fill similar positions in the event positions become vacant. The merit pools established from this recruitment process will be valid for 18 months from the date of advertising.
